Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 IS L Lens Review

Florida based photographer Darren Miles recently had a chance to review the Canon full frame EF 16-35mm f/4 IS L lens and came back with some very positive thoughts.

Announced back in mid May 2014 alongside the EF-S 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 IS STM ultra wide ultra inexpensive crop lens, the new EF 16-35mm f/4 IS L is the new, less expensive (slower, but stabilized) version of the pro level EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM.

Miles already reviewed the EF-S 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 IS STM and found it pretty well made optically despite the plasticky exterior. The new  EF 16-35mm f/4 IS L full frame did not disappoint as well with the only potential drawback being the price (and the somewhat less solid feel than the Tokina AT-X Pro FX 16-28mm f/2.8).

You can get the Canon EF 16-35mm f/4 IS L for just under $1200 at Amazon (if you are on a budget, the Tokina AT-X Pro FX 16-28mm f/2.8 for Canon will only set you back around $670).
