In this behind the scenes video released today by Leica you can watch photographer Yvonne Venegas from Tijuana Mexico talking about her work and how she investigates portraiture by taking pictures when the subject is not prepared and capturing moments that are seemingly a photographic mistake.
Venegas had a chance to test the new Leica X Vario shown in the video and announced today. The X Vario is a compact camera Leica sometimes refers to as a Mini M and it includes a large sensor (APS-C size) with a Leica Vario Elmar 18 – 46 mm f/3.5 – 6.4 ASPH. (35 mm equivalent. 28 – 70 mm) lens, a 3 inch high res display and an optional electronic viewfinder. The price (as with all Leica cameras) will be hefty – $2850.
