Another day another device which can trigger and control your camera Wirelessly. This time its the new Shutterbug Remote – a remote control for your camera that connects wirelessly to a smartphone or tablet using the latest Bluetooth LE technology. From up to 300 feet away, you can focus the lens and trigger the shutter using the free app. Along with these basic camera controls, the Shutterbug Remote also offers many of the features found in high end professional intervalometers. These features enable you to create complex exposures and sequences for time-lapse movies, night photographs, “painting with light” scenes, high-dynamic range brackets, wide angle nature shots, and time delayed portraits.
We have already seen some very advanced wireless camera remotes such as the CamRanger which is far more advanced but also more expensive. The Shutterbug Remote is up for crowd-funding on Crowdit and will run you about $70 (keep in mind that at least for now it will only support iOS devices).
