Which Lav Mic Sounds Best? Blind Comparison of 6 Sub $200 Lavalier Microphones

In this video, photographer Curtis Judd takes a look at 6 Lav mics for under $200.Which one was picked by most viewers as the favorite? check out the second video below.

The first video (above) is a blind test that can give you a chance to pick your favorite mic (just remember the letter of your favorite mic from A-F) while the second video is the results based on how people voted.

We have to say that the winner was our blind choice as well but as Judd mentions – this is more of a personal taste. However if you are choosing a mic that will be used to record sound that other people are going to appreciate (in other words, not something that only you are going to listen to – which is true for most of us) – consider the results of this test – even if the amount of people who voted isn’t that large – we feel it is a pretty good representation.
