Creating Realistic Eye Makeup in Photoshop

On this video Aaron Nace from Phlearn demonstrates how to create realistic looking eye makeup using Adobe Photoshop.
On this video Nace explain some of the general principles of applying eye makeup to eyes (this actually applies to real makeup not just images). There are many useful tips all through this video including how to create realistic skin texture using Blend-If to lessen the visibility of the eye shadow over the skin highlights. This is just the first step and Nace goes on to show many other changes that you can do to the eyes.
As for adding eyelashes to your image – Nace recommends downloading free Eyelashes brushes from obsidiandawn (this site also have Eyeshadow brushes – although we didn’t test those ones ourselves).
We have already looked at correcting and improving eyes in images in more depth on several past videos including a Quick Tip: How to Change Eye Color in 1 Minute in Photoshop! by Howard Pinsky, “Retouching Eyes in Photoshop: Color, Brighten and Sharpen” also by  Aaron Nace, photographer’s Michael Woloszynowicz “How To Brighten Eyes in Photoshop” and Photoshop senior product manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes video on “How to Brighten Eyes in B&W Photos Using Photoshop“.
