How to Add Atmosphere To Your Images Using Photoshop

On this Photoshop video glamour and fashion photographer Nino Batista shows how to add atmosphere and drama to your image  in Photoshop.

Unlike some of Batista’s other videos, this one is more improvised as he works on the image for the video for the first time “live”.  He starts by adding some warm color and add some sharpness using the high pass technique which we covered here recently.

Next Batista add some haze (don’t over do this) and color toning to make the image more interesting.

What is nice to see in this video is to see some of the rational behind the retouch decisions Batista makes. There is no right or wrong here and each photographer and retoucher might have his or hers own likes and dislikes when it comes to the way the final image looks, but your rarely have a chance to see the actual thinking that goes into this process.
