How to Create the Look of Hand-Painted Photos in Photoshop

On this video Marty Geller from Blue Lightning TV shows you how to get an image to look as if it was hand painted in Photoshop.

This ultra quick tutorial looks at an effect that you can easily achieve in Photoshop and give your image a unique look. First add a black White adjustment layer. After you finish playing with this layer (use the targeted adjustment tool and play with different color areas of your image), reduce the opacity of this layer to 70%.Now you can add soft white corners to your image using the filter> lens correction tool.

Finally you can add some more touches to your color area with the brush. The result is – in our opinion at least – not necessarily one which looks like a hand painted photo but it is a cool effect and it is easy to do so remember these steps and use them with the appropriate image.
