How to Remove Moiré Patterns Using Photoshop

On this Adorama Video, photographer Mark Wallace explains what are Moiré patterns, how to prevent them in your photos and how to fix them in Photoshop if you do get an unexpected Moiré pattern in your photo. Wallace demonstrates two effective methods which will help you eliminate Moiré quickly and effectively (although avoiding them in the first place is always your best bet).

  1. Concerning the eliminating moire pattern video: Not all moire patterns are due to a certain clothing or cloth. I am an artist, painter, and during photo shoots of my paintings I sometimes get these patterns. I can also sometimes rid myself of them in the view finder, and subsequently, the image, if I refocus on the painting and/or move the camera somewhat. What causes moire patterns with shooting artwork? It seems to be mostly blue.
