Powerful Tips for Using Adobe Bridge with Photoshop

On this video, Photoshop product manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes takes a look at working with Bridge alongside Photoshop and some of the powerful tools included in Bridge.

Photoshop was developed originally as a one image editing software. However since those early days two decades ago – quite a few things have changed. One of the most significant ones is the fact that we are now dealing with a lot more images. This required Adobe to create a tool for managing images. It started as part of Photoshop called “file browser” but later on it became a standalone software we now know as Adobe Bridge.

On this video Hughes shows  different things that you can do in Bridge – some of the you can do in Photoshop as well but quite a few are unique – especially the ability to easily change a large number of images (for example do lens correction). Bridge also allows you to open several images as layers on the same document in Photoshop – very handy (and more complicated to do in Photoshop). Bridge has lots of other cool features such process collection which is an automatic tool for processing things such as panorama images.

Last year we published a video by Terry White looking at Adobe Bridge CC vs. Lightroom 5 – which covers a few more Bridge related topics and is also worth watching.
