Creating a Ring Light Effect in Adobe Photoshop in Under 2 Min

If you like that somewhat glowing ring light look but you didn’t use a ring flash for your photo you can still try and create it using Photoshop as Howard Pinsky demonstrates in this under 2 minute tutorial.

On this video Pinsky who loves to do quick and dirty videos for creating different effects demonstrates how to use a custom shapes, layer styles, and blending tweaks to recreate a ring flash in a subject’s eyes. If you look at the result in the end of the video we would reduce the opacity even further but its a matter of personal taste.

If you do have a ring flash, you will be happy to learn that you can actually do quite a lot with it – as this video by photographer Gavin Hoey demonstrates.
