Griffin Hammond on How to Shoot Beautiful Wedding Films

Earlier this year videographer Griffin Hammond (executive producer of Indy Mogul) created this video to try and share some of his own experience shooting wedding videos.

For Hammond, wedding videos are about 1/4 of hos paid works and although he is not a dedicated wedding video photographer he has enough professional experience to share some very helpful tips – which he does in this six and a half minutes video.

Hammond talks about how to find clients, how to prepare, creating b-roll, setting up before the event, what gear you need, working with sound. How to work with the DJ and finally how to edit.

We have covered many aspects of wedding photography (both video and stills) including lighting, posing and many business related aspects which you can find on our wedding photography section – here on LensVid.

  1. Great tips but think having a gimbal over a glidecam is a must for shooting wedding videos in the 2020s (and beyond). I know this is an older article so maybe there’s room for an update?
