How to Create a Simple Composite Image

This video by Pye from slrlounge takes a look at an interesting technique that can help you improve your photography and create composite images that are otherwise hard or even impossible to shoot as a single image.

Creating composite images require two stages – the first stage is taking the images (typically 2 images should be enough but you can do more if you need). The two images should be of the same frame but with some small difference – typically lighting although you can decide to capture several images of the same subject in different place in the frame if you want to be really creative.

The second stage is done in post production using Lightroom or Photoshop where you combine the two images to create the finished composite.

If you are looking for the Vello ShutterBoss Remote Pye mentioned in the video you can find it on Amazon for just under $60.
