On this video photographer Tony Northrup takes a look at the advantages (and disadvantages) of RAW shooting vs. JPEG. Northrup demonstrates (using Adobe Lightroom) how different images can benefit from the extra information recorded onto the RAW file and how this information can help you get more of your images than you ever could with only JPEG – a real eye opener if you never shot RAW before. Do keep in mind of course that RAW does come at a cost of larger file size which can be a burden sometimes.
