On this video, professional photographer Karl Taylor takes a look at a subject which tend to confuse even some experienced photographers when shooting with flash and that is the flash sync speed.
If you are using a flash you might have wondered what prevents you from using it in full power for shooting in very short exposures (say 1/1000 second) this video will try and give you the answer (hint the shutter has a lot to do with it although there are some ways around this).
Although there are a few minor errors in the video (CCD isn’t used anymore for most modern cameras and the Olympus OM-D isn’t a DSLR) the main points are valid and interesting.
