FeiyuTech QING Robotic Head

Chinese manufacturer FeiyuTech introduced what it’s it calls a motion control device for time-lapse photography although, in essence, it is a robotic pan-tilt head with remote capabilities that can be used for many types of photography.

The QING has a weight of 1.3KG and has a 3.5KG support which should allow users to mount almost any small-mid size camera setup on the market. It comes with a wireless remote that has a large touch screen from which you control and setup the unit. You can use it for other conditions as well including controlling your camera (although it isn’t clear which cameras exactly are supported and what level of control is available at the moment).

The FeiyuTech QING and it’s remote

The QING has a built-in battery (220mAh) with several USB connectors (3 USB-A and one USB-C) that can allow you to power your camera and accessories like a follow focus that you can get with the unit.

The unit can move fast or slow, has a top dual Arca Swiss quick release plates and includes a lens holder and a bubble level on the base.

On paper, this is a very intriguing unit that can be useful in more than just time-lapse, trail-time, panoramic (360 degrees) shooting which is the main uses FeiyuTech has mentioned and we are hoping that we can test it in 2020.

As for pricing the FeiyuTech QING sells for $700. You can find more info on the FeiyuTech site.
