Canon just introduced its 3’rd iteration of the PowerShot G1 X and it brings some interesting features to the table including an APS-C sensor, Dual Pixel technology for smooth focus tracking in video a fast processor and more.
The new camera is smaller than the previous G1 X model although it squeezes in a lot more tech including a viewfinder which surprisingly still allow for a decreased weight. The cameras still have quite a bit of manual controls and dials on top and with the combination of the dual pixel technology and the flip screen, it can be ideal for vloggers (who can live with 1080p video).

On paper the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III looks impressive as a fixed lens large sensor style camera – there are two things which stand out though – one is the lack of 4K shooting which many if not most of the cameras at its price point (not from Canon though) are capable of) and the second is the actual price. For $1300 you can get quite a few interchangeable lens cameras (although squeezing a fast zoom lens in, can be a little bit more of a challenge).
