Just over a month after the release of its 150-600mm lens, Sigma introduced today two new compact prime mirrorless lenses from its I series – the 90mm F2.8 DG DN and 24mm F2 DG DN both lenses from the Contemporary line.
Sigma’s I line of lenses is expanding today with two compact and lightweight prime lenses with an all-metal body (and hood), weather sealing, and an aperture ring with an automatic mode in both 24mm and 90mm focal lengths.
Main lenses specs
The 24mm f/2 has the following main specs:
- Focal length and aperture: 24mm, f/5-f/6.3, Full-Frame coverage.
- Optical design: 13 elements in 11groups including 1 FLD and 2 SLD elements and a single aspherical element.
- Aperture blades: 9.
- Minimum focus distance: 24.5 cm (1:6.7Â macro magnification).
- Filter thread: 62mm.
- Sealing: dust and water sealing.
- Mount: E, and L mounts.
- Weight: 365g.

The 90mm f/2.8 has the following main specs
- Focal length and aperture: 90mm f/2.8, Full-Frame coverage.
- Optical design: 11 elements in 10 groups including 5 ED and a single aspherical element.
- Aperture blades: 9.
- Minimum focus distance: 50 cm (1:5Â macro magnification).
- Filter thread: 55mm.
- Sealing: dust and water sealing.
- Mount: E, and L mounts.
- Weight:Â 295g.

Pricing and availability
