Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone Lens Review

On this review photographer Christopher Frost looks at the the new Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone lens.

We have talked to Irix (a Swiss manufacturer which manufacture in South Korea) during Photokina 2016 last year. The 15mm was first announced in March of last year (see here) but since than the company has been hard at work on several other lenses which you can see in our Photokina video.

On the review above, Frost looks at the 15mm f/2.4 lens both on a full-frame camera (Canon 6D) and an APS-C (EOS M3). The result looks very good – especially in terms of sharpness across the frame in full frame. You will need to close the lens down a bit to get even exposure across the frame though.

As for pricing – the Irix 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone cost around $650.
