Earlier today Tamron introduced 2 new zoom lenses ahead of CP+ show in Japan that will start later this month. The two lenses are the Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 and the Tamron 10-24mm F/3.5-4.5 Di II VC HLD.
SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 (Model A025) main specs:
- Optical design consists of 23 elements in 17 groups (including XLD and LD elements).
- 3 mode vibration compensation (up to 5 stops).
- Magnification – 1:6.1 (with 2X teleconverter – 1:3).
- Advanced coatings – eBAND and Fluorine.
- Moisture-Proof and Dust-Resistant Construction.
- Includes an electromagnetic diaphragm system also for Nikon-mount lenses.
- Compatible with TAMRON TAP-in Console (USB unit – announced in Photokina 2016).
- Price: $1300.
The new SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2
The second lens is the Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di II VC HLD which is an ultra wide angle zoom lens which covers an APS-C sensor and is also an update to an older model.
- Optical design consists of 16 elements in 11 groups (including LD and XLD elements plus Aspherical & Hybrid Aspherical elements).
- BBAR and Fluorine coatings.
- A new type of HLD AF motor.
- VC Image Stabilization (4 stops).
- Includes an electromagnetic diaphragm system also for Nikon-mount lenses.
- Compatible with TAMRON TAP-in Console.
- Price: $500.
