onOne is currently offering its Perfect Effects 8 Premium Edition plugin for free. This is a very welcome move as this software full price is just under $100 (The company suggested that it will only be for a limited time – so you should grab it while you still can – we did, and the entire process took only a few minutes and was completely hassle free).
So what is Perfect Effects 8 and what can it do for you? well, if you are using Adobe Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom or Apple Aperture you will be able to use Perfect Effects 8 as a plug-in (there are lots of these going around) but you will also be able to use it as a completely standalone piece of software if you prefer it. What the software/plug-in does is provide you with a very comprehensive set of tools for creating and adding effects to your images.
Perfect Effects 8 includes an extensive library of customizable presets, adjustable filters, and manual controls that can help you get the most out of your image in the shortest amount of time.
