If you are not shooting RAW but still want to enjoy the benefits of working with camera RAW in Photoshop there is a simple way of doing this in Photoshop CC. Keep in mind that it is still preferable to shoot in RAW if you can since it will give you more headroom in terms of dynamic range – which can be extremely helpful in a lot of shooting scenarios.
