Retouching a Group Photo

On this video tutorial by portrait photographer Nathaniel Dodson (from the website tutvid) we take a look at how to retouch a group photo in Photoshop CC.

Most retouch tutorials cover work on a single person. In many cases we shoot several people and want to do all sorts of changes such as replacing the face of a person (many times one or more people in an image close there eyes just at the moment of shooting – this is also why you will always want to sake a quick succession of images of the same people from the same angle so you can choose the best one and if need be – replace a face or even just the eyes of a person).

We did look at creating group/family portraits in the past (less on editing). We looked at “How to Shoot a Beautiful Holiday Family Portraits” and “Group Photos Tips: How to Take the Best Family Pictures” by  Tony and Chelsea Northrup, you can also find some good tips on “5 Simple Tips For Taking More Natural Family Portraits” by Michelle Ford.
