How to Use Continuous Light and Strobes Together

On this video, photographer Jay P. Morgan from the website The Slanted Lens will take a look at using strobes and a continuous light source together on set to create an interesting portrait. Working with model Rebecca Grant on a small set representing a back stage make-up area Morgan tries to create a shaft of light in the image for dramatic effect. Since a shaft of light can not be seen by our eyes unless there is something reflected in it – Morgan uses smoke to make the light coming from the 2K visible.
