DZOFilm Announce Catta 35-80mm T2.9 and Catta 70-135mm T2.9 Cine Lenses Full frame compact parfocal Cine lenses

DZOFilm announced two new zoom Cine lenses with full-frame coverage that are both compact and relatively affordable – the Catta 35-80mm T2.9 and Catta 70-135mm T2.9.

DZOFilm Catta 35-80mm T2.9 & Catta 70-135mm features

DZOFilm has been producing several lines of Cine lenses including the Pictor super 35 zoom lenses. The new Catta takes things to the next level by creating a full-frame zoom set which is both small and fairly light (at around 1.5kg per lens) and has

One of the key features of both lenses is their parfocal performance (patrilocality means that the focus will stay on the subject across the entire zoom range). Although there are several still zoom lenses with parfocal capabilities, these are fairly rare and when it comes to zoom Cine lenses, parfocal lenses typically are significantly more expensive.

Another interesting feature is a toolless mount swapping option. This is very attractive for users who work with several brands of cameras and even more so for renting houses who can purchase one set and simply swap the mount for each rent.

Both lenses should be very interesting options for documentary shooters, broadcast work, and independent filmmakers.
