First Look at the TV Logic VFM-055A 5.5″ OLED Field Monitor

Many existing and several new monitors have been on display on IBC 2017 and one that really caught our eye is the new TV Logic VFM-055A – a small 5.5″ display based on a very high contrast OLED panel with lots of strong features.

There are so many monitors around these days that setting yourself apart isn’t easy. The new TV Logic VFM-055A gets into the very small niche of high-end portable OLED monitors with very deep blacks (17,000″1 contrast ratio), high-resolution (1920×1080) and both 3G-SDI & HDMI Input/Output.

There are also the now almost standard Waveform, Vectorscope & Audio Meter display options as well as a 3.5mm stereo jack, USB port for uploading LUTs, Safety Area (with many options) as well as marker mat as well as both DC in power option and built-in Sony style plate for batteries.

As for pricing – the TV Logic VFM-055A will start selling at the end of October 2017 for a price of $1600.

We will be talking with TV Logic right after IBC and see if we can bring you a review of this interesting monitor as soon as it will become available.
