Nikon D7100 vs. Canon 5D Mark III – Movie Mode

On this from learningcameras.com was published earlier this year shows an interesting side by side video comparison between the mid range Nikon D7100 and the pro Canon 5D MKIII. Although the Nikon would have a hard time competing all around with the much larger sensor of the 5D MKIII it is interesting to see how it can or can’t match the Canon in terms of video features and quality.

The lenses used in the test are Tamron 24-70 f/2.8 on the Canon – Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 on the Nikon
(the reviewer notes that he  didn’t find that either camera was sharp enough in video mode to see the a difference in lens quality).
