Quick Hands-On With the Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA Lens

Earlier today Sony announced two lenses – a Zeiss branded Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA lens as well as the already announced (but have yet to arrive) Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS lens. On this first quick hands on photographer Steve Huff had a chance to try the new lens and shows some images he took with it.

First let’s talk about the Sony FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA which is the company’s fastest 50mm FE lens to date and is significantly larger (and heavier than the two other 50mm Sony FE lenses).

The Sony/Zeiss FE 50mm f/1.4 ZA

The Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS was actually announced earlier this year along side the Sony in February but not all the details were released at the time including the price. One paper at least this lens seem to be the most advanced 70-200mm f/2.8 lens on the market and it seems like it’s price reflects that.
