What Should Your Second Lens Be?

On this video professional photographer Jay P. Morgan from the Slanted Lens, takes a look at what type of lens should you consider after you feel you have outgrown your original kit lens you purchased with your camera.

Morgan discusses different focal lengths, zoom lenses vs prime lenses, image stabilization and much more. Lens is a tool and should be treated as such. As a photographer you need to understand what kind of work you want to do (portraits, landscapes, macro, nature/bird photography, sports etc.) and pick the right tool for this task.

We also highly recommend that you take a look a the ultimate beginners guide to lenses we published here earlier this month (part 1, part 2 and part 3) as well as more guides from our photo gear guide section to learn more on the subject.
