Today we are happy yo be the first website to publish this quick video of the Zhongyi Mitakon 20mm f/2.0 4.5X Super Macro lens by ZY Optics that was officially announced just a week ago.
We still didn’t get our hands on this very interesting super macro lens (we hope to do so in the near future – as soon as ZY Optics will have a review sample ready for us).
The Zhongyi Mitakon 20mm f/2.0 4.5X – is the first (high) super macro lens which fits a large number of mounts (so far there was only 1:1 or 2:1 at most and of course Canon had its own solution and there were quite a few other ways to reach this high magnification – but more options is always a good thing.
A few things to note – the min working distance is 20 cm (7.8 inches) if the lens can give you 4.5x magnification at this distance it means that it is much more useful than other super macro lenses that we tested in the past (see below) which have a much closer focusing distance.
