During IBC 2025, which took place in Amsterdam in mid-September, we had a chance to visit the Hollyland booth and see a number of new and upcoming Hollyland products, including the Lark Max II, Lark A1, the Pyro 5 monitor, the upcoming Pyro Ultra transmitter, and finally the advanced Solidcom H1 Wireless Intercom System.
Special thanks to Hollyland for sponsoring LensVid’s IBC 2025 coverage.
Hollyland Lark Max II
The Hollyland Lark Max II is an advanced compact 32-bit float wireless microphone system designed for content creators and filmmakers. The system uses advanced environmental noise cancellation (ENC) technology to ensure clear audio capture, and its transmitters have a redesigned, more discreet form factor with a new clip. The Lark Max II also includes an internal 8GB of memory in each transmitter, providing up to 14 hours of backup recording. With a transmission range of up to 300 meters, it offers a reliable audio solution for on-the-go shooting.
One of the most unique features of the Lark Max II is the inclusion of the wireless headphone system that connects to the receiver, allowing the user to monitor the audio wirelessly (something that we have asked Sony to do for quite a few years now). There is also an app support allowing to control certain functions (such as the level of noise reduction), although this is available only via USB-C (we would have liked this to be BT enabled, but this might get in the way of the operation of the wireless mic, according to Hollyland). There is also a quad mic version of the Lark Max II if you want to record up to 4 people at the same time.
The Hollyland Lark Max II Ultra kit with 2 mics (and the wireless headphone set) sells for $280. The quad mic version sells for $320.
Hollyland Lark A1
The Hollyland Lark A1 is an entry-level wireless microphone system designed for mobile users looking for simplicity and ease of use. It operates in the 2.4GHz frequency band and offers a true plug-and-play experience, with no complicated settings or adjustments required. The system includes a dual transmitters and a receiver, both with a compact design. The Lark A1’s receiver features a USB-C output, making it compatible with a wide range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and computers. The system provides up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge and is an accessible option for those new to wireless audio recording.
The product sells for $60.

Hollyland Pyro 5
The Hollyland Pyro 5 is a 5.5-inch wireless video monitor that integrates monitoring, recording, camera control (for specific camera models), and wireless transmission capabilities into a single device. It features a bright, 1000-nit touchscreen display for clear viewing in various lighting conditions. The monitor supports a 5 GHz wireless transmission system with a range of up to 400 meters, allowing for seamless communication between the camera and a remote monitor.
The Pyro 5 includes built-in video tools, such as waveforms, vectorscopes, and false color, to assist with accurate exposure and color grading. It is powered by an NP-F type battery and offers a comprehensive solution for professional monitoring needs.
The Pyro 5 sells for $420.

Hollyland Pyro Ultra
The Hollyland Pyro Ultra is an upcoming, high-performance wireless video transmitter designed for professional cinema and broadcast applications. The device is built to handle uncompressed video signals up to 4K resolution at 60fps with extremely low latency (under 20ms), making it suitable for live production environments. Its robust design includes advanced cooling systems to maintain stable performance during extended use. The Pyro Ultra utilizes a new proprietary wireless protocol to ensure secure and reliable video transmission over long distances. It also features multiple antennas for enhanced signal stability and anti-interference capabilities. The key feature of the Ultra is the ability to broadcast the signal to multiple units at the same time (Hollyland suggests up to 6-10 units).
Pricing for the Pyro Ultra will be set at a later date.

Hollyland Solidcom H1
The Hollyland Solidcom H1 is a professional wireless intercom system designed for crew communication on film sets, live events, and other productions. The system operates in the 1.9GHz frequency band and provides full-duplex communication, allowing all team members to talk and listen simultaneously. It is designed to be highly reliable, with an extended range of up to 1000 meters and a robust anti-interference protocol. The Solidcom H1 includes headsets that are lightweight and comfortable for long-term use (either one or two sides are available), and it offers crystal-clear audio quality for effective communication across the entire set. The system is scalable, allowing for the addition of multiple headsets to accommodate larger crews (up to 80! units).
Each Solidcom H1 transmitter sells for $ 1,900, while a full 10-set system with an antenna and charging station/central station sells for around $ 22,000 (exact pricing needs to be verified with B&H and other suppliers; see here).
