Boya Mic 2

The Boya Mic 2 is a 2.4 GHz ultra-mini wireless microphone system featuring 32-bit float recording and 8GB of internal storage, allowing it to function as an independent recorder. The system includes an AMOLED touchscreen receiver for real-time status monitoring and a magnetic clip transmitter for secure placement. Each transmitter can connect to up to four receivers simultaneously, and the receiver’s USB-C port can charge an external device while recording.

Pricing for the Boya Mic 2 starts at approximately $200 USD.

ThinkTank Pro Rolling Backpack

The ThinkTank Photo Walker Pro is a convertible rolling backpack designed to hold a gripped DSLR or mirrorless camera with a 200-400mm f/4 lens and a 16-inch laptop. It features padded, adjustable backpack straps with a sternum strap for comfort, as well as built-in dual wheels and a telescoping handle for travel. The backpack is constructed with ballistic and ripstop nylon, includes a rain cover, and meets most airline carry-on regulations.

The product is listed for around $400 USD.

Viltrox DC-A1

The Viltrox DC-A1 is a 7-inch IPS touchscreen monitor with a 1920×1080 resolution and a brightness of 2800cd/m². The monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 60Hz refresh rate. It features HDMI 2.0 input and output interfaces, a cooling fan, and a 170º viewing angle. The monitor provides high color accuracy and supports SRGB color gamut.

Hollyland Lark Max 2

The Hollyland Lark Max 2 is a wireless microphone system with 32-bit float internal recording and 8GB of built-in storage per transmitter, providing up to 14 hours of uncompressed audio backup. The system utilizes 2.4 GHz frequency hopping for stable transmission up to 1,115 feet, and features AI noise cancellation technology. With a weight of only 14g per transmitter, it is designed for comfortable wear.

The system’s price is approximately $280 USD.

Zhiyun Cinepeer CX50 and Zhiyun Cinepeer CX50 RGB

The Zhiyun Cinepeer CX50 is a 50W video light with a CCT range from 2700K to 6500K, and the Zhiyun Cinepeer CX50 RGB is an RGB version with a similar 50W output. Both lights have a high CRI of 95 and a TLCI of 96, a dimming range of 0-100%, and are powered by a built-in battery, PD adapter, or power adapter. They are controlled via Bluetooth and feature a 1/4″ screw hole for expansion.

Pricing for the Cinepeer CX50 RGB starts at around $150 USD.

SmallRig HPS99

The SmallRig HPS99 is a handheld power stick with a 99Wh capacity and a 100W charging and discharging capability. The device is equipped with high-capacity LG battery cells and multiple power ports, including dual USB-C ports and a D-Tap port, for charging multiple devices simultaneously. The HPS99 can be fully charged in approximately two hours.

The HPS99 is available for approximately $150 USD.

SmallRig RC220C

The SmallRig RC220C is an RGB LED monolight with a color temperature range of 2500K to 10,000K. The light features high color accuracy with a CRI of 97 and a TLCI of 99. It has RGB, Daylight, and Tungsten color modes, and dimming is controlled from 0 to 100% via a built-in dimmer, app, or DMX.

We are currently testing both the HPS99 and the RC220C so expect a full review later this year.

The RC220C is sold for a starting price of around $350 USD.

SmallRig Production Cart

The SmallRig Production Cart is a 36-inch camera cart with a convertible top shelf that can be used as a workstation. The cart features multiple threaded holes (1/4″, 3/8″, and ARRI) for mounting accessories and is equipped with built-in dustproof and anti-slip pads to protect equipment. It offers stable mobility with four 8-inch wheels and a detachable armrest option.

The price for the cart is approximately $1700 USD.

Atomos Wireless Shotgun Mic

The Atomos Wireless shotgun mic is a dual-mode microphone that can operate wirelessly over a 2.4GHz frequency or via a direct USB-C digital audio connection. The mic features a super-cardioid polar pattern to isolate voices in noisy environments and a high-quality 48kHz/24-bit recording capability. It has a latency of less than 20ms and a wireless range of up to 100 meters.

The Comica VM40 is a dual-channel wireless shotgun microphone system with 48kHz/32-bit float recording and 32GB of onboard storage for up to 40 hours of audio. The system operates on a 2.4GHz wireless frequency with a super-cardioid pickup pattern. The Comica Boo Max is a similar 2.4GHz dual-channel system with 48kHz/32-bit float recording and 32GB of storage.

Prices for the Comica VM40 start at approximately $249 USD, while the Comica Boo Max is available for approximately $200 USD.

Godox KNOWLED MG6K

 

The Godox KNOWLED MG6K is a bi-color LED light with a CCT range from 2800K to 10,000K, offering brightness that surpasses a 6kW HMI while consuming 4300W of power and producing over 1 million Lux at 1m (with a reflector). It has an IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating, a -100% to +100% G/M adjustment range, and multiple control methods including DMX, CRMX, and Bluetooth.

The light head weighs 28kg with the yoke. This light is priced at around $11800 USD.

Godox KNOWLED MG6K

Godox MG6KMaxima Rapida

The Maxima Rapida is a lightweight, battery-first cinematic LED light weighing just 1.8 kg, designed and manufactured in Italy. It features direct V-Mount support, Profoto and Bowens mount compatibility, and a wide bi-color range from 2600K to 6800K. The light has a luminous output of 23,000 lumens, an IP54 weather protection rating, and a flicker-free operation up to 200,000 fps with app support.

Pricing for the Maxima Rapida is approximately 1200 Euros.

Godox KNOWLED M300R

 

The Godox KNOWLED M300R is a 460W RGBWW LED light from the KNOWLED series with a color temperature range of 1800K to 10,000K. It has a high CRI of 96 and TLCI of 95, and offers multiple color modes including CCT, HSI, RGBW, and FX. The light features an IP54 rating, a Bowens S mount, and control methods including onboard, DMX, CRMX, and Ethernet.

Pricing for the M300R starts at approximately $1,529 USD.
