Using the Boundary Warp in Lightroom CC to Create a Perfect Panorama

On this video, Photoshop and Lightroom expert Howard Pinsky demonstrates how to use the new Boundary Warp feature in Lightroom to create a complete panoramas easily.

The new Boundary Warp feature within Lightroom CC can help you relatively seamlessly fill in the ‘transparent’ areas on your panoramas by intelligently warping the edges without distorting details. It will even work when there are people near the edges and another interesting feature that Pinsky doesn’t mention but Russell Preston Brown from Adobe does in the video below (using Camera RAW which also got this new feature) is that if you get a panorama with a horizon that isn’t levelled – the Boundary Warp feature will try and fix that for you automatically (and from the looks of it – it might even succeed).

Just like the previous time we talked about this subject – here is a reminder of how you can do the same thing using Camera RAW in Photoshop CC

We had a previous video on this new feature quite recently by Colin Smith from PhotoshopCAFE when it was first announced a few weeks ago. This is not the first time that we are looking at editing or shooting panoramas here on LensVid – you can also check out “How to Create a Panorama in Lightroom 6 / CC” with photographer Anthony Morganti, “How to Quickly Create Panoramas in Photoshop and Lightroom” with graphics expert Howard Pinsky, “How to Shoot and Edit Panoramas” with Aaron Nace, “How to Create Panoramas Using Photoshop” by Photoshop’s senior product manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes and “Shooting and Stitching Together Panoramas in Photoshop” with photographer Gavin Hoey.
