Basic Retouching in Photoshop – Using Adjustment Layers

On this Photoshop tutorial (part of a beginner’s series), glamour and fashion photographer Nino Batista takes a look at using adjustment layers as part of your retouch process.

Adjustment layers are one of the most basic and important tools in the Photoshop arsenal for many, many years. They encompass a whole range of capabilities and can help you do local changes that where otherwise impossible (or at least pretty darn difficult. Adjustment layers go hand in hand with masks and along this video you will see exactly how they work together.

We have covered many (many) videos where adjustment layers were an important part of the editing process, however this is the first time that we can remember that we dedicate a full video to this important topic.
