How To Add A New Sky In Photoshop In Under 1 Min

On this very quick and simple video tutorial Howard Pinsky looks at how to change the sky in a photo using Photoshop in less than a minute.

This is very simple – first select the sky (for example with the quick selection tool), now press alt/option (PC/MAC) and add a new layer mask, now bring in a new photo of the sky (either one that you took or one from a different source which you are O.K. to use).

Drag the new sky layer to the bottom of your layer panel. If this looks good – that’s it – you are done, however in most cases the colors will probably not match so you will need to tweak them a bit. Select the top layer and add an adjustment color balance layer – select it and play with the colors until you get what you want.
