How to Place an Image in Text in Photoshop

On this video tutorial Aaron Nace from Phlearn demonstrates how you can use a photo to create cool looking text using Adobe Photoshop.

Lets say that you took a great wedding photo and you want to turn it into a beautiful artistic expression in text. Nace start with choosing the text and font choose a thick enough text for the image to show through). After choosing a text, we adjusted the spacing of our text to our liking and than we move to the main part of this tutorial – the clipping mask. First we choose the text, and bring our image into Photoshop. From here we use the clipping mask to make sure the image was only shown within the text.

This is the basic – very simple – you will probably want to stylize the image more add some colored background and maybe a few other touches.

Although this video is on the border between graphic design and photography we do feel that there are enough photographers (especially wedding photographers) who might find it interesting.
