How to Select and Change Colors in Photoshop

This video tutorial by Aaron Nace from Phlearn takes a look at how to select and change colors in an image  using Adobe Photoshop.

The first step is going to be to select a color from your image. Start by going to select>color range. Here you have lots of options. You can use groups of colors or use the color picker which is what Nace is doing. You can use the plus color picker to add areas. When you work in black and white in this screen – everything in white is selected – select everything that you want and press O.K..

Now we have the color area selected and we can add a a he saturation adjustment layer. Now we can very quickly change the color of the area that we selected into any color that we would like – super simple. If you added something that you don’t want to change it’s color you can always change that using a black brush and remove it.

Changing colors in Photoshop is a very popular topic which we covered here extensively (Nace himself published several videos on the subject which we had here).
