On this video tutorial Aaron Nace from Phlearn looks at how to swap people in Adobe Photoshop.
Sometimes we takes several pictures in a row – for example like this group photo above on Nace’s video. In these types of images it is common for one or more people not to look their best and as long as you have a similar image where they do look good – you just might be able to save the shot in post processing.
So the basic idea here is to use move tool and take a part around the person we want to swap from the good looking image to the one we want to apply it to. Now we need to align the shot – making the layer semi transparent can help a lot (you can also enlarge or reduce the size (use cmnd/cntrl T to transform it).
Now we create a layer mask and paint black over the areas we want from the image below and basically blend the two images together. The last step is to work with the clone stamp tool and sample current and below – that’s about it.
