Installing And Using Lightroom Presets

On this video photographer Phil Steele demonstrates how to install, use and even create new presets in Adobe Lightroom.

Lightroom has a a whole range of presets built into the software for you to use. They can be a great time saver if you know exactly what you want, but they can also be a very useful learning tool. On this video Steele shows how to easily install presets from the develop module (you need an image selected) and create a new folder in the presets list and right click on this area and choose a new folder and name it. Next you choose import from the presets you have download (this is the set Steele uses for this demo – it does cost money mind you).

If you already have presets installed Steele shows how to use them (starting at 8:50 min on the video) he shows how you can see a preview and how to check new one (Steele recommend not to stack presets one on top of another – unless you do this intentionally).
