Learning to Use Layers & Layer Masks For Beginners in Photoshop

This video tutorial by Steve Arnold takes a look at layers and masks in Photoshop and is primarily aimed at the beginners level.

On the video Arnold is taking a look at a subject that often confuses many beginners – using layers, adjustment layers and layer masking in Photoshop. He also explains why adjustment layers are critical for non-destructive editing (and why this is a good thing) as well as talk about curves, levels, hue/saturation and more.

We have already looked at some of the topics talked about in this video in the past including: “5 Things You Need To Know About Photoshop Layers” by  Terry White, “How to Use Curves in Photoshop to add Colors to Your Images” by Aaron Nace and “Introduction to Translucency and Blending Layers in Photoshop” by Deke McClelland.
