This time on our editing tip here on LensVid in cooperation with PSkiss we take a look at two very easy ways to remove color noise in your images.
Especially in darker images with higher ISO, you tend to see color noise which can be quite distracting. But there are ways to get rid of it or at the very least reduce it to a more acceptable level.
The first method is very simple – convert your image into a smart option and go to filter>blur>Gaussian blur (increase the radius until the dots are blurred). Next in the layer panel next to the in the smart filter raw – next to the name of the filter double click the slider icon and change the mode to color – simple!
The other way is also very simple – go to filter>camera RAW filter>details and increase the color noise reduction – somewhere between 25-40 should do the job. Super simple!
In the past we have looked at noise reduction techniques many times. Some of the videos that we have looked at were “Sharpening and Noise Reduction in Lightroom 6” by Anthony Morganti ,“How to Make Your Vacation Photos Look Amazing in Photoshop” by Aaron Nace from Phlearn and 3 Great Ways to Reduce Noise/Grain in Photoshop by photographer Nathaniel Dodson.
