Targeted Color Change in Photoshop

On this quick video, Photoshop expert Howard Pinsky shows how to change a specific color in an image quickly and easily in Photoshop.

Sometimes you need to change a specific color in an image. There are plenty of ways o do that, some of them more complex than others. This video shows a simple localized version – all you need to do is before you apply a layer mask is to choose the area that you want to change first.

If you do have areas which were or were not chosen you can simply use a white or black color locally to fix that.

We have looked at changing colors of objects in Photoshop many times in the past including 3 different videos by Nace on different aspects of colors such as How to Change Hair Color in Photoshop, changing skin color, changing colors of general objects (such as cars for example), and a more in-depth look at working with colors for portraits.
