On this video by Lesa Snider from creativelive, we take a look at Lightroom Presets and what we can learn from them to improve our manual settings for retouching our images.
Lightroom has a a whole range of presets built into the software for you to use. They can be a great time saver if you know exactly what you want, but they can also be a very useful learning tool. If you want to see different B&W presets work just check out the effects panel on Lightroom and see how each preset changes the grain, style, sharpening and other aspects of the image.
This is a good time to remind you that only yesterday Adobe released a new version of Lightroom (5.4) with several bug fixes and support for new cameras as well as a new app called Lightroom Mobile which brings the software to iPhones and iPads.
