This video tip by photographer Anthony Morganti looks at how to create an Instagram look in Adobe Lightroom.
Some people love Instagram and some people hate it. For those who do like it and would like to recreate the look using Lightroom this video might help. Morganti looks specifically at recreating the “Memphis” filter in Instagram.
Morganti shows you how to tweak all the different settings in the basic, tone curve, split toning etc. to get the closest look to the Memphis filter as possible. Do notice that the result is not in the regular 1:1 ratio that is so familiar to Instagram users although you can crop your image this way if you like.
If you are using Photoshop, Howard Pinsky has his own Instagram-like filter quick tutorial for you which we have published not too long ago.
