How to Change Eye Color with Photoshop

On this video tutorial Aaron Nace from Phlearn demonstrates how to change eye color on your model using Photoshop.

Nace starts with a selection of the eye and the next stage will be to use a hue/saturation adjustment layer. Nace gave a very useful tip in this stage – if you are going to create a blue eyes from brown eyes for example – go to Google and try and look at how blue eyes actually look – this will help you make more realistic looking eyes. Later on Nace adds some texture to the eyes and play some more with the colors to create some truly spectacular eyes that can be perfect for special effects images.

This is not the first time we are looking a changing eye color using Photoshop – if you want a shorter simpler guide – make sure you watch Howard Pinsky’s quick video – Quick Tip: How to Change Eye Color in 1 Minute in Photoshop! if you are interested in improving eyes in images in more depth on several past videos including “Retouching Eyes in Photoshop: Color, Brighten and Sharpen” by  Aaron Nace from Phlearn, photographer’s Michael Woloszynowicz “How To Brighten Eyes in Photoshop” and Photoshop senior product manager Bryan O’Neil Hughes video on “How to Brighten Eyes in B&W Photos Using Photoshop“.
