During CES 2016 Dell announced what might become the holy grail for many creative professionals in content creators – the UltraSharp 30 UP3017Q OLED monitor.
This 4K behemoth brings OLED to your desktop for the first time with a full 30″ screen, deep blacks, 100% AdobeRGB, a whooping 400,000:1 contrast ratio and unheard of (for an LCD) response time of 0.1 seconds @120Hz (!). If this is not enough for you the UP3017Q is also less than half an inch thick at the edges with a relatively thin bazel.
The screen also features 1.07 billion colors (factory calibrated), USB Type-C with power delivery (Thunderbolt 3 – as it was demonstrated in CES connected to a dock) and while other connectivity options where not disclosed at this point, the price and availability are – you will have to spend a cool $5k for this baby and if you have the money you will be able to get it starting around March 2016.
