Carrying a heavy DLSR – the guys at Olympus think that you might suffer from a case of the DSL-ARM – or at least this is what this new humours  campaign for the company’s OM-D E-M5 Mark II tries to tell you.

Modern DSLRs are amazing machines and more or less all of them can take great pictures these days. But there is little argument about how heavy most of them are especially if you want to take them with you anywhere you go (otherwise you will just end up shooting with your smartphone).

Mirorless are in many cases much lighter (this is especially true for the smaller sensor on the Panasonic/Olympus cameras which also allow for lighter, smaller lenses). Do you get the same image quality as a DSLR? well, in our experience the answer is mostly no. However it doesn’t mean that this isn’t a decent option for some users who will (again) otherwise not take their camera with them anyway (so a decent camera you have with you will always be better than an amazing camera which stays at home/hotel).
