Shooting and Working with Log Video

On this video Chris Niccolls and Jordan Drake from the Camera Store in Canada look at a shooting and processing video recorded in log.

We have looked at log files for video in the past and here is how we described the subject back than – “shooting log video gives you at least some of the flexibility of shooting RAW video but without dealing with the very demanding requirements of actually shooting RAW (including very large files)”.

On this video Drake gives several examples of working with log files on both Premiere and finale cut as well as some tips (such as shooting over exposed when recording log in high contrast scenes).

You can find many more videos covering HDSLR techniques on our dedicated HDSLR tutorial section here on LensVid (and you can find many of TheCameraStore videos here on LensVid.).
