Takashi Yasui: Lifestyle in Japan

On this video (part of Adoram’s Through The Lens series) Japanese photographer Takashi Yasui talks about his photographic style.

Takashi started shooting in 2010 and gained a large following through Instagram where he met and collaborated with photographers in and outside of Japan. It took him five years to decide to turn his passion into a profession and in early 2015 he started working as a professional photographer after his works were published by several international publications.

One of the interesting advices Takashi has is to put restrictions on yourself as a photographer (he suggested shooting a full year only with an iPhone so that you will focus on the composition and the image and less on operating the camera – another way can be to shoot with a simple film camera which is what some people do).
