Sirui Vision Pro 1 Lens Line
Sirui has recently unveiled its latest Cine lens line, the Vision Pro 1 (VP-1). This full-frame cinema series is designed to cater to filmmakers and content creators. The VP-1 series includes three focal lengths—24mm, 35mm, and 50mm—with additional options of 15mm and 75mm expected later this year. These lenses feature a fast T1.4 aperture, enabling excellent performance in low-light conditions and achieving a shallow depth of field.
The VP-1 series also boasts user-interchangeable mounts, allowing compatibility with Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Leica L systems, making them highly versatile for various camera setups. The Vision Pro 1 lenses are compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 590g each, with a uniform design that simplifies lens swaps
Sirui has priced the lenses competitively, with individual units starting at $549 and a complete set available for $1,900.

Bun-G-Ring
An interesting small product called Bun-G Ring brings a unique capability to mount BGR + 4×5.65 filters using a special adapter with bungee cords.
The idea seems interesting but for around $550 for a kit, it sounds a little steep to us.

Media Division Magic Sauce
The Media Division is one of our favorite cinematic/technical YouTube channels and we have covered their videos many times here on LensVid Talk. In this recent project, they look at what makes footage look “cinematic” and for this they go back to many previous projects they have done over the years. From our perspective though this question becomes even more interesting when you compare film to high-end commercials which are often made at very high budgets with high production values (especially given how short they are).
Regardless, if you are interested in filmmaking and filmmaking gear/history – you don’t want to miss this video.
