How To Quickly Remove Stray Hairs in Photoshop

On this short video tutorial Michael Woloszynowicz (from vibrantshot) takes a look at  how to remove a cluster of stray hair quickly and easily.

Woloszynowicz uses the surface blur tool on a new layer in order to eliminate the stray hair – the results even on more difficult backgrounds (unless you have lots of texture) looks good and the entire process is quick and straightforward.

If you want a somewhat more basic hair selection tutorial check out  Bryan O’Neil Hughes (Photoshop senior product manager) video on “How to Make Fine Hair Selections in Photoshop“.
